“A 13-year-old guest riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on Sunday, June 21, exited the ride vehicle before the end of the attraction and a cast member immediately stopped the attraction, according to Disneyland officials.

“The boy was evaluated at a local hospital as a precaution and released, according to Disneyland officials.”

“It's definitely a neat idea, with Pirates seemingly being a good place to test the tech. Perhaps we will see more figures like this built with more intention (in terms of the whole experience) in the near term, but right now it does feel kind of shoehorned into place storywise, and maybe messing with a decades-old mythology - not entirely unlike the arrival of the Hatbox Ghost at Magic Kingdom, who materializes BEFORE Leota does so in the seance room.

“Of course, die-hards will argue a lot of the mythology and story of the attraction changed with the additions from the movies, the changes with the redhead, or even back at earlier changes in the 90s.”
