Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway to Open at Disneyland on January 27, 2023
Oct 6, 2022

“Interestingly, the new attraction will apparently open before the rest of its land as the overhauled Mickey’s Toontown is set to debut in spring 2023.

“While the ride will largely resemble the attraction currently found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it’s been teased that the Disneyland version will feature unique elements and theming — particularly in the queue.

“The arrival of the new attraction is meant to coincide with the launch of the Disney100 celebration at the resort.”

Disneyland announces details for Disney100 anniversary celebration in 2023
By JENNIFER TANAKA
PUBLISHED: October 6, 2022

“The castle will be decorated with platinum banners and bunting featuring the three Good Fairies who will glitter with illuminating pixie dust. Other décor details include a wishing star atop the castle tower and two water features situated on both sides of the moat.”

“At Disney California Adventure park, ‘World of Color — One’ will feature an original song called ‘Start the Wave’ and illustrate Walt Disney’s storytelling legacy by bringing some of the most inspiring characters to life in new ways.

“At Disneyland park, a nighttime spectacular called ‘Wondrous Journeys’ nods to the 60 Walt Disney Animation Studios films to date. Using projection effects, the experience turns places throughout the park into viewing areas. Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, It’s a Small World and the Rivers of America will transform into canvases that bring characters to life. On select nights, ‘Wondrous Journeys’ will also include fireworks.”

Disneyland quietly raises its prices on tickets and Genie+ feature
Expect to pay more for most tickets
By MARLA JO FISHER
UPDATED: October 12, 2022

“Starting Tuesday, daily ticket prices to visit one park — either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure — will range from $104 to $179, depending on the expected crowds. For example, expect to pay the top price for weekends and holiday times (and face big crowds).”

“People who want to ‘park hop’ between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will pay an extra $65 for the privilege — which is a $5 increase. Multi-day ticket prices have also increased.”

“Disneyland officials pointed out that their lowest price point for a daily single-park ticket remains $104, which hasn’t changed since 2019. However, that price is now offered on a sharply limited number of days during the year.

“Disneyland officials also noted that the company has made continual investments in the parks, including the new Avengers Campus and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which is expected to open in January.”

Prices Increase at Savi’s Workshop and Droid Depot at Disneyland and Walt Disney World
Oct 11, 2022

“Droid Depot, an experience where guests can visit a workshop stocked with parts, chips, manuals and other tech items useful for constructing their very own droid (one of the galaxy’s most indispensable sidekicks) by assembling parts as they roll out on a conveyor belt, is now increasing in price from $99.99 to $119.99.

“Across the outpost, guests will also find Savi’s Workshop, where they can construct their very own lightsaber and bring it to life through the power of kyber crystals. There, a group known as the “gatherers” ushers them into a covert workshop packed with unusual parts and pieces collected from throughout the galaxy. This experience is a group activity led by an entertaining instructor, and has now increased in price from $219.99 to $249.99.”
