Disneyland simplifies Genie+ ride reservation system
The mix of the Genie, Genie+ and Lightning Lane names and signage has been a constant source of confusion for visitors.

“Disneyland will drop the Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane names on July 24 in favor of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass.
“The paid Genie+ and Lightning Lane services took over for the free Fastpass service in December 2021 after the yearlong pandemic closure of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.”

“The $30 Lightning Lane Multi Pass line-cutting perk is good for 22 attractions at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
“The Lightning Lane Single Pass will cost you $16 to $26 to jump to the front of the line on a single marquee attraction — currently available on one attraction at each park.”

“Disneyland and DCA visitors can book Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass on the day of their visit as soon as each park opens.”

“Disneyland is pushing the start of Halloween past Labor Day Weekend and deep into August this year as the spooky season continues to challenge Christmas for the title of most popular holiday at the Anaheim theme parks.
“Halloween Time will get its earliest start ever in 2024 when the seasonal event kicks off on Aug. 23 and runs through Oct. 31 at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.”

Disney evacuates 20 riders stuck on California Adventure’s Incredicoaster
Disneyland employees in safety harnesses evacuated riders after the roller coaster broke down on the track.

“Disneyland handed out umbrellas to riders stuck on the Incredicoaster at Disney California Adventure for half an hour while employees evacuated 20 people stranded on the 120-foot-tall roller coaster.”
