Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway Announced for ToonTown at Disneyland
April 19, 2019
"It’s official, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is headed to ToonTown. The attraction will be based upon the version opening next spring at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. The show building will be located behind the Gag Factory and will open sometime in 2022.
While the name may sound like Big Thunder, it’s actually a mild family dark ride attraction using modern digital projection technology and physical sets. With Goofy as the engineer, you follow Mickey and Minnie on a wild adventure. The animation is done in the new 'cute' style for the classic Disney characters."
